THE FORMAT
ROASTERS APPLY
Once applied, roasters submit a bag of coffee for the Selection Round
SELECTION ROUND
Industry experts blind cup coffee to select the top 10 finalists.
THE COMPETITION
The finalists source, test and roast two coffees in their home roasteries using their own equipment.
The two coffees:

Each roaster receives an identical bag or box of the same coffee. The challenge is to showcase their skill in bringing out the best qualities of a limited coffee within a set timeframe.

Each roaster must source and roast a coffee in accordance with criteria set by the competition, including a price cap as well as specific process and origin requirements. This serves as a testament to each roaster’s sourcing skills, industry network, and ability to curate an outstanding product while working within defined parameters.
THE FINALS
Over one to two days, the finalists come together to cup, exchange insights, and take part in workshops alongside nine of their roasting peers from across the region.
At the end of this weekend, the points from the cuppings will be tallied and the winner announced.
